It is a great pleasure and honor to welcome all of you to the School on Plasma Physics organizing together with the Latin American Workshop on Plasma Physics. As you all know, this year this conference is combined with the International Congress on Plasma Physics, fusing them together into a single conference ICPP-LAWPP 2010. Consequently, the LAWPP School on Plasma Physics has been opened to worldwide students and young researchers participating on this conference.
The main scope of the LAWPP School on Plasma Physics is providing a general view on some topics in plasma physics in order to achieve a better starting point for the main conference ICPP-LAWPP 2010. At the end of the School, each participant will receive a Certificate of Attendance LAWPP School topics - General description of plasmas - Space and Astrophysical plasmas - Plasma diagnostic techniques - High temperature and fusion plasmas - Low temperature and industrial plasmas LAWPP School venue Map to get the School venue (pdf 152 Kb) The LAWPP School venue will be the Center of Nuclear Studies La Reina of the Comision Chilena de Energia Nuclear. In order to reach the LAWPP School venue, the Organization will provide transportation from a place close to the Centro de Extension de la Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile (which is the ICPP-LAWPP 2010 venue) to the nuclear center each day. This transportation will depart early in the morning to the nuclear center and will return to the original place after the end of each day. The bus meeting point will be Lastarria 70, Barrio Lastarria, Santiago (just one block far to north from ICPP-LAWPP venue) IMPORTANT information As the venue is located inside of a nuclear center, the legislation demands that each school participant provides us the following information: - Full name - Institution (affiliation) - Country of institution (affiliation) - Nationality - Passport number Please, provide this information as soon as possible to the e-mail school@icpp-lawpp-2010.cl |
